About Me

Netball enthusiast, coffee lover, proud stepmum, and dog mum to a couple of very spoiled pups. But more importantly, I’m an experienced educator and coach who’s passionate about helping tweens and teens thrive. With over 14 years of experience as a teacher, curriculum leader, and university lecturer, I’ve worked with hundreds of students, guiding them through critical transitions like starting high school and helping them develop the confidence, habits, and skills they need to succeed.

Hey, I'm

Rachel

Founder of Honey Learning and a dedicated coach with a mission to help tweens and teens feel calm, confident, and ready to take on whatever school throws their way.

Throughout my career, I’ve led programs that support student growth, created professional learning resources for teachers, and coached parents on how to best support their child’s learning journey. My work has always been about helping kids feel capable and in control, while easing the pressure that school life can bring to families.

Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming school life can be—for both kids and their parents. Between mounting assessments, time management struggles, and growing social pressures, it’s easy for students to feel stressed and stuck, and for parents to feel helpless. That’s where I come in.

I believe that with the right support, every child can thrive. My coaching approach is grounded in my years of teaching experience and enhanced by my qualifications in instructional leadership and inclusive education. I offer practical, flexible, and empathy-driven support tailored to meet each family’s unique needs. Whether I’m working one-on-one with a student, leading a group program, or sharing resources through Thrive Hive, my goal is always to build essential life skills that make learning easier and less stressful—for both kids and their parents.

When I’m not coaching or creating resources, you’ll find me spending time with my family, enjoying the outdoors, or cheering from the sidelines at a netball game. Helping young people succeed isn’t just my job—it’s what I love to do. If you’re ready to help your tween or teen feel more in control, less overwhelmed, and ready to thrive, I’d love to work with your family. Let’s do this together!
